Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the attitude and familiarity of graduate students at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences (AJUMS) with EBM and CL services.
Methods: This descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study was conducted during the 2023-2024 academic year. The statistical population included all graduate students (MSc, PhD, and residents) at AJUMS. Using stratified random sampling, 310 students were selected, and data from 238 valid questionnaires were analyzed. A researcher-made questionnaire was used for data collection, and data were analyzed using SPSS version 26.
Results: The results indicated that 56.3% of students were not familiar with EBM, and only 26.5% had completed relevant training courses. The mean familiarity with the five stages of EBM was at a moderate level (2.42 out of 5), while the attitude towards EBM was positive (3.74 out of 5). Familiarity with CL services was limited; however, the attitude towards these services was favorable (3.58 out of 5). A significant difference in attitude and familiarity was observed based on gender, educational level, and age.
Conclusion: Despite positive attitudes, students' knowledge of EBM and CL services is insufficient. Implementing targeted educational programs and integrating clinical librarians into educational and clinical settings is recommended.
