Information sources or data: This study was conducted as a review method by searching reputable databases such as Science Direct and PubMed.The aim of the study was to study a total of 15 studies using Persian and English keywords, which were extracted and reviewed in the period 2002 to 2020.
Selection methods for study: In this article, all the contents are given with the names of the authors of the articles.
Combine content and results: Studies have shown that virtual education in medical universities is done in the following ways:
1- Online or synchronous virtual training 2- Non-online or asynchronous virtual training 3- Combined training
The use of such methods has advantages such as access to educational content from anywhere, creating virtual discussions and groups outside the classroom, holding virtual tests, but still learning disabilities, limited access to physical facilities such as laboratories, loss of interest in Learning among learners is one of the negative effects of e-learning in medical sciences.
Conclusion: According to the results of the available articles, it was found that mere e-learning  can not be enough to teach students. Due to the nature of medical sciences disciplines that should be in direct contact with their clients and diagnose and treat many diseases with physical touch. In fact, combining and gaining ideas from the tools and methods of the two methods of virtual education and traditional teaching can create a superior learning style.
