This study aimed to evaluate the awareness of dental students at Bandar-Abbas Dental School regarding the use of denture adhesives in complete denture patients.

The data collection tool was a validated and reliable questionnaire containing basic information (gender, year of entry to university, and grade point average),24 questions to assess awareness about the use of denture adhesives in complete denture patients, and 2 questions for surveying and awareness of the students' information source. Data were analyzed by SPSS16 statistical software and t-test statistical test.
Results:Out of 97 students, 45(46.4%) were male and 52(53.6%) were female. The mean age of these students was 25.89±2.21 years and their mean GPA score was 14.78±1.20. The mean awareness score of students in the last two years of dentistry regarding the use of denture adhesives in complete denture patients was 12.16 ± 1.91 out of 24. There was no statistically significant relationship between the mean awareness score with gender, year of entry, and GPA score(P-value>0.05).
Conclusion:The results showed that the awareness of students in the last two years of dentistry regarding the use of denture adhesives in complete denture patients was at a moderate level. Gender, year of entry, and GPA score did not have a significant effect on students' awareness.
