Introduction: The classroom is the front line of education and training, the responsibility of managing it and realizing the educational and curricular goals rests with the teacher, so teachers play the role of class manager. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting students’ attendance in the classroom.
Methods: In this review study, searches were performed based on the databases of Persian language SID, Mogiran, Alamnet and Google Scholar search engine without time limit. The search strategy consists of a combination of keywords and subject titles and keywords related to the presence of students, classroom, medical sciences, education. A standardized data extraction form was developed to obtain relevant information from the included studies. The investigated information includes: author, year, location, type of study, sample size, sampling, target population, questionnaire tool, outcome, conclusion. information such as communication; Age, gender, marital status, place of residence, field of study, level of education, native and non-native were measured with the presence of students in the classroom.
Results: A comprehensive search of relevant databases obtained a total of 701 records. 11 studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in the field review. Factors such as the teacher’s mastery of the lesson, the usefulness of the materials presented in the class, and the interest in the subject were the most important in increasing the attendance rate in the classroom.
Discussion: Tttendance rate in the class, the most important of which are the issues related to the teacher (the teacher’s mastery of the lesson, the usefulness of the materials presented in the class, and the interest in the subject). Considering the fact that knowing the students’ point of view as the main customers in education will help in informed planning, it is suggested that planners and professors firstly identify the factors affecting the attendance of students in the classrooms and then these factors to consider the improvement and effectiveness of educational programs.
