Introduction: The role of students and clinical assistants as active members in the academic community is of great importance. They can play an important role in managing errors and mistakes in educational institutions.
Method: In this cross-sectional descriptive study, 101 medical students and clinical assistants in educational and therapeutic hospitals of Jahrom city were included in the study in 2024. The data collection tool in this study includes two demographic information questionnaires and a medical error disclosure questionnaire.
Results:  According to the assistants who participated in the study, the best reference for managing and solving medical errors in the hospital was the erring doctor himself (55.4%). 39.6% and 38.6% of the participants in the study considered the best way to notify the patient of a medical error, if they decide to do so, is through the senior physician in the presence of the erring physician and by the erring physician himself. 
Conclusion: The results of the present study show that the disclosure of colleagues' mistakes in teaching and treatment hospitals in Jahrom city is influenced by various factors such as the educational level and gender of the people under investigation, and the most important factor in the disclosure of colleagues' mistakes is from the point of view of students and professors of the study.
