Background and purpose: The main purpose of this article is to identify and analyze the effective factors on teaching methods based on learning styles in medical science education and provide a suitable model.
Method and materials: The research method is mixed (qualitative-quantitative). To conduct this research, in addition to document study, thematic analysis technique has been used. The statistical population in this research was all academic experts and professors in the field of curriculum planning, higher education management, psychology and medical science education in medical sciences universities, and theoretical saturation was done after conducting interviews with 15 experts. In the quantitative section, 390 samples were selected based on Cochran's formula to confirm the model. Finally, the basic, organizing, and inclusive themes were extracted, and in the quantitative part, the structural equation technique was used to determine the prioritization and provide the appropriate model.
Findings: In this research, for learning styles with 3 dimensions, 9 components and 43 indicators, and for teaching methods, 7 methods and 33 implementation solutions were identified. The most important learning styles include teacher preparation, learner preparation, and learning activities. The most important teaching methods include: interactive, individual, multi-sensory (mixed) method, project method, laboratory teaching method, problem solving method and discovery method.
Conclusion: The results of this research showed that among the 7 teaching methods for systemic learning style, the multi-sensory teaching method is the best method and the individual teaching method is the least used method.
