The purpose of this study was to investigate the social health of students in Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences. Methods: This cross-sectional study included 390 students (62% girl, 38% boy) of Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences, who were selected by stratified sampling. Data collection tools was a questionnaire consisted of two parts: demographic and translated social well-being questionnaire of KEYES. The internal reliability and validity were confirmed in different studies. Descriptive statistics were performed for data analysis by using SPSS software version 20. Results: The average social health score of most students was moderate. Among the dimensions of social health, social prosperity was the highest average score. There is a significant relationship between demographic variables such as age, sex, status of residence, marital status, employment status with social health. Students of higher ages had better social health. The social health of women was better than men. And married and employed students had a higher social health rating than those who were single and unemployed. Also, the social health status of students living with the family was better than that of dormitory students. Conclusion: Strengthening social health dimensions that have a lower average score )solidarity, acceptance, social participation) it will improve the health of students.
