مقدمه و هدف: هدف از پژوهش حاضر، بررسی رابطه‌ی علّی ادراک حمایت عاطفی معلم با عملکرد زبان انگلیسی با میانجی‌گری احساس تعلق، لذت تحصیلی، نااُمیدی تحصیلی، خودکارآمدی تحصیلی و تلاش تحصیلی در دانش‌آموزان سال اول دبیرستان شهر اهواز بود.

روش‌ها: روش شرکت‌کنندگان در این پژوهش، 180 نفر از دانش‌آموزان پسر سال اول دبیرستان شهر اهواز بودند که به روش نمونه‌گیری تصادفی چند مرحله‌ای (نسبتی) انتخاب شدند. ابزارهای استفاده‌شده در این پژوهش، مقیاس حمایت عاطفی معلم، احساس تعلق به مدرسه و تلاش تحصیلی Sakiz، خرده مقیاس‌های ناامیدی تحصیلی و لذت تحصیلی پرسشنامه‌ی هیجان‌های پیشرفت پکران و پرسشنامه خودکارآمدی تحصیلی پاتریک، هیکس و رایان بودند. ارزیابی الگوی پیشنهادی با استفاده روش تحلیل مسیر انجام گرفت. جهت آزمون روابط غیرمستقیم از روش بوت استراپ (نرم‌افزار 18 (AMOS- استفاده شد.

یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان دادند، که متغیر برونزای ادراک حمایت عاطفی معلم به طور مستقیم با متغیر درون‌زای عملکرد زبان انگلیسی معنی‌دار نبود اما با میانجی‌گری، لذت تحصیلی، ناامیدی تحصیلی روی عملکرد زبان انگلیسی معنی بود. همچنین بین احساس تعلق به مدرسه و تلاش تحصیلی با میانجی خودکارآمدی تحصیلی و ناامیدی تحصیلی رابطه غیرمستقیم معنی‌داری یافته شد. برازش بهتر از طریق حذف مسیرهای غیرمعنی‌دار ادراک حمایت عاطفی معلم به عملکرد در زبان انگلیسی، احساس تعلق به ناامیدی تحصیلی، درک حمایت عاطفی معلم به ناامیدی تحصیلی، ناامیدی تحصیلی به عملکرد زبان انگلیسی و ادراک حمایت عاطفی معلم به خودکارآمدی تحصیلی حاصل شد.

نتیجه‌گیری: براساس یافته‌های این مطالعه، سازه‌های هیجانی، انگیزشی و یادگیری در افزایش عملکرد تحصیلی زبان انگلیسی موثر است.
